Now offering video therapy on HIPAA-compliant platforms with one click--no passwords needed. I use both C3Now and Google Meet for real-time appointments from the convenience of your home. You should familiarize yourself with both, as we sometimes need to switch from one to the other for best connectivity, and download the Google Meet app if you plan to use your cell phone or tablet for sessions. Both platforms will send you a link for your session by a text message (if you chose to use your phone) or an email (for a computer or tablet). Please note that for the best therapy experience, an email address is preferred.
Before your first visit, I will send you a secure email with forms attached (they are also available on this website). You must read, sign and return them before online sessions can begin. You will also need to send copies of your ID and insurance card if you have not previously been seen in person. Directions for doing this are below. Your visit is more likely to be productive if you are located in as private a space as you can manage--no coffee shops, please! Pay attention to lighting so that we may clearly see each other. Try to minimize potential interruptions, but pets are welcomed. And be sure to put on Do Not Disturb to avoid interrupting our connection.
Important note: If your device is connected via Bluetooth to your vehicle or other devices in your home, be sure to turn off Bluetooth before your session to ensure your privacy.
Please close all programs and restart your device shortly before your appointment. Put your phone on Do Not Disturb so that notifications do not end our online connection. If you have them, headphones or a headset are very helpful. Plan to prop up your tablet or phone so you don't have to constantly hold it. Give a moment before speaking, as there are often lags in the audio or video signals. Position yourself in a location in your home that gives good reception, and try to minimize other people using up bandwidth during your visit.
Here is a short video on how to join a Google Meet appointment. Please note that I will almost always send an email link that you can click on directly, without needing to enter in codes to join.
Instructions for using C3Now are below.
